Improve Transportation

A strong transportation system is key to a vibrant and healthy community. If residents can not get home after work because they are stuck in traffic or businesses can not deliver their goods, our society will suffer. Over the past three years we have delivered key transportation projects, such as the Coast Meridian Overpass, Pitt River Bridge, widening of Broadway Street, 8kms of new bike pathways and many improvements to the Traboulay PoCo Trail. We need to continue to ensure our transportation system is meeting the needs of our residents and our business. 

• Deliver new Master Transportation Plan
• Expand network of bike lanes and cycling infrastructure
• Lobby for Evergreen Line extension to Port Coquitlam and enhanced transit service
• Continue to enhance local roads, including capacity and safety improvements to Coast Meridian and Pitt River Road corridors
• Improve community and transit access for people with disabilities
