This fall, the Coquitlam RCMP team will be hard at work putting together their strategic plan for the next three years. Once complete, the plan will be a road map for local police services, helping to guide decisions about where to put scarce resources to make the best possible impact.
This planning process will determine our priorities for the next three years and from August 29th to September 23rd, anyone 18 or older who lives, works or goes to school in Anmore, Belcarra, Coquitlam or Port Coquitlam and has access to an internet connection can have a say in those priorities.
"When I joined the RCMP," said Supt. Claude Wilcott, Officer in Charge, "the job of a police officer was to respond to calls & do investigations. Now, our job is a lot more about connecting with the people we serve, establishing solid lines of communication and making sure we understand each other's needs and priorities. That's what this process is about and I'm really looking forward to seeing the results."
