Community Engagement

During my campaign I attempted to lead by example. I worked hard to engage as many citizens as possible during the campaign through a variety of techniques, these included door knocking, online, community surveys, coffee parties and town hall meetings. Over the first two months in office I have continued to change the way we engage our residents to ensure their voice is heard at council. To date, we have had public input sessions, online surveys and I have met with people at their gatherings. One of the largest changes to date is the Council’s Community Connection Task Force. This Task Force is going into our community to invite schools and community groups to our council meetings. This has brought new people to our council meetings to promote their events and introduce them to a council.
